Great Wall motor is a Chinese automotive group that owns many brands: you’ve probably heard of Wey and Ora, two brands that debuted at the 2022 Paris Motor Show, but did you know about Tank?

It was in July 2020 that the GWM group presented the concept Tank 300, which was to be sold under the Wey brand. A few months later, the model entered the Chinese market as standard, but Tank became its own brand dedicated to high-class SUVs.

Tank 300: very American

There’s no doubt that the Tank 300 draws its inspiration great fashion adventurers Americans love a Jeep Wrangler or a Ford Bronco, even if it’s not an exact replica.

In the exterior style, we find very cubic lines, prominent wheel arches, rectangular rear-view mirrors, all-terrain tires, a spare wheel visible from the rear, or even a lot of equipment that emphasizes it adventurous looklike the bullbar, roof rack and tube on the ‘Border’ version, comparable to Jeep’s Rubicon models.

Tank 300: neat interior

The interior also features very impressive lines reminiscent of the Jeep Wrangler cabin, with a hint of the Mercedes G-Class. The aircraft-style gear lever adds a bit of originality to the overall look, while the Harman Infinity audio system features 9 speakers.

While it’s hard to judge the quality of the materials from these photos, the kit is nice and features top-stitched quilted leather upholstery, plenty of customization options, and a large panel containing two large 12.3-inch screens on the instrument panel. A lot of technology is also on offer, including semi-autonomous driving features.
