In addition, oil-producing countries also decided to cut imports, again causing modest growth. So much so that unleaded and diesel fuel sometimes reached insane prices, exceeding €2.40 at some service stations. Although prices have since fallen somewhat and incomes have reached more acceptable levels, they are still very high.
