The electric car is booming: it accounted for almost 10% of vehicle registrations in France in 2021, up from 6.7% in 2020 and 1.9% in 2019, thanks to tax breaks.
Due to the rapid increase in fuel prices, switching to electric vehicles is more tempting than ever. But it is advisable not to rush headlong, but to think about its use in order to find the most suitable model. in Auto Lab Plus measured the autonomy of many electric car models on the market: here are the ones that have better autonomy in the city.
Electric cars: our test protocol
The city autonomies these were seen by a technician from Labo Auto Plus at our base in Montler, according to our own protocol. They may differ from those declared by manufacturers, measured according to the more “optimistic” WLTP protocol.
Of course, the data varies depending on the models, as well as their configurations, which, in particular, makes it possible to choose several different battery capacities. Average autonomy corresponding to a city use is a good indicator. In fact, we will always keep a reserve to avoid a “dry discharge”, which, in the case of an electric vehicle, must reach 0% before arriving at a charging station.
Lidl is starting to charge electric cars with ultra-fast terminals and, above all, at very affordable prices. https://t.co/NRWLCul23J
