Electric cars are booming, but charging solutions still struggle to develop when you move away from major urban centers or live in rural areas.
In order to thicken the network of charging stations electricity in France, the government has just announced the release of an envelope 10 million euroswhich makes it possible to finance a assistance to small gas stations independent.
Assistance to small service stations in installing charging stations
The aim is to accelerate the modernization of small independent service stations by encouraging them to do so install charging stations for electric cars.
This new state aid will allow co-finance installation and deployment electric charging stations to provide a charging solution for electric vehicles outside of major cities.

Assistance for the installation of charging stations: who is eligible?
This new state aid is intended for small independent service stations, that is, those that sell less than 2,500 m3 of fuel per year. In France, they believe that over 4,000 service stations will be eligible to this help.
Location is also an allocation criterion: indeed, the charging station must be installed at an independent service station and located in a municipality of medium or rural densityaccording to the INSEE municipal density grid, which has seven levels.
Assistance for installation of charging stations: how much?
This state aid is aimed at co-financing up to 60-70% the cost of installing a charging station depending on the capacity of the installed stations (50 or 150 kW).
This assistance can be combined with funding for Energy Saving Certification (CEE) programs and must be requested by submitting an application to ADEME (Agency for Environment and Energy Management), from 1Er December 2022. After checking the submitted files, the aid can be paid in the following month.
