The French are punished by supply interruptions at service stations.
Thus, the government continues the discount of 30 centimes/l at gas stations until mid-November.@TotalEnergies also extends its discount of 20 centimes/l for the same period. pic.twitter.com/u7EdYWGliB

Now it’s official, the 30-cent fuel discount is history. Indeed, if normally it was supposed to end on November 1, then the government decided to extend it until November 15. A small gesture that allows motorists to take advantage of this discount, marred by a strike at oil refineries and fuel shortages. But lo and behold, all good things must come to an end, and the generous aid was finally stopped. Therefore, it is now necessary to settle for a small increase of 10 cents at all service stations in France. At TotalEnergies, the assistance has also increased from 20 to 10 cents, but refueling there is still very attractive compared to the competition.
There is an exception to the end of sales of diesel cars in 2035, voted by the European Parliament: luxury cars (Ferrari, etc.). Of course, there are not many of them, so the emissions will be limited, but for the symbol and social justice will have to be ironed pic.twitter.com/6gPS9lc6ZE

Another discount?
From January 1, 2023, any government aid, like TotalEnergies, should be withdrawn. But the state is already thinking about establishing a more targeted discount, intended only for the largest videos. So far, no details have been released about it, while it is still under consideration. But all is not lost, because a new discount may appear a little later. That’s really what CEO of TotalEnergies, an interview with LCI a few days earlier. The latter will indeed be open to the possibility of offering new help a little later.
.
A few details
The leader said: ” I understand that the government is developing a new targeted scheme for people who need their cars the most […] Depending on the government, we will see if we have to support these French“. He also added that “Let’s see what we will do according to what the state wants to do, especially in the spring“. Now it remains to find out what the company is preparing for us, which, thus, in no way closes the door to new help for motorists.
