From October, in many Carrefour stores across France, the retail group is launching an unprecedented offer that allows its customers to rent Dacia Sandero to fixed price €4 per day.

A strong call price that explains Pierre-Marie Carrodirector of the retail services department of Carrefour France: ” In this period of strong pressure on purchasing power, we strive to develop our offers to make them more accessible to our customers and thus meet their expectations. Facilitating mobility everywhere and for everyone is the daily mission of our teams. »

If indeed the approach is commendable; unfortunately, the wow effect is a flash in the pan. Although the price of €4/day for a Dacia Sandero rental is quite realistic, in practice you will have to add up cost per kilometer. This last one is is decreasing with a price that ranges between 20 and 24 euro cents per kilometer.

In short, if you were planning to go on a cheap weekend, know that the price of the call will be far. Excluding fuel costs which, as usual, remain your responsibility. Or even any tears, dents or scratches what can you do… So many items that can (quickly) add up to a score.

Furthermore, Carrefour clarifies that this €4/day offer is valid until 30 consecutive rental days with the possibility of renewal.

What is a Dacia Sandero for 4€/day?

Of course, for such a price per day, it is impossible to use a full-fledged car. Not even in high processing. For good reason, the Dacia Sandero provided by Carrefour Location has a gasoline engine in combination with a manual gearbox. However, it is equipped, according to the brand’s website, with a reversing radar, from GPS and speed controller.
