Things are finally starting to pick up a bit, but all is not won. Indeed, the strike is still ongoing at two TotalEnergies sites and not all service stations are yet 100% secured. Some departments are even still under tension, such as Yonne, Paris or even Seine-Saint-Denis or Haut-de-Seine. And we still don’t know when a real return to normal is expected, even if the movement has weakened very noticeably in recent days. After about a month of strike, things finally got better. But this does not prevent some from being tempted to steal, and in particular to pump tanks. A practice that is obviously not without risks.
There is an exception to the end of sales of diesel cars in 2035, voted by the European Parliament: luxury cars (Ferrari, etc.). Of course, there are not many of them, so the emissions will be limited, but for the symbol and social justice will have to be ironed pic.twitter.com/6gPS9lc6ZE

Poisonings are increasing
Indeed, apart from being unethical and reprehensible, fuel theft is also a dangerous practice. And that’s what Angers University Hospital, which signals an increase in poisonings. On Twitter, the latter really emphasizes that the number of poisonings has increased fivefold in recent weeks. As Professor Alexis Descatachef of the poison center explains, the hospital center received more than 100 calls in October, compared to an average of 20 each month during normal times. The number that has increased significantly from October 9 to 18, a deficiency in the heart. He told our colleagues in Western France that ” but this accident is very easily avoided. Do not siphon with your mouth!“.

big risks
As the doctor explains, this practice is clearly very dangerous. It can actually cause digestive problems once the fuel is swallowed, such as belching, diarrhea and even pneumonia. If this ever happens to you, you will have to spit and especially do not tear, because it can make things worse. Also avoid drinking, but rinse your mouth thoroughly. And do not take the car, because there is a risk of dizziness. But the best thing to do is to just go to the gas station and buy fuel to avoid any risk!
