Today, more and more radar cars are appearing on the roads of France. Of course, to the chagrin of motorists, whose slightest speeding is now tracked. All this without their attention. Indeed, cars are almost impossible to notice, except for a few small details that we often don’t take the time to look at while driving. Strongly condemned by the associations, the system is considered a trap for drivers because the radars are controlledemployees of private companies, and not representatives of law enforcement agencies. And the least we can say is that they are effective, while 500,000 verbalizations were issued in 2021.

Did they commit a crime?

But according to some, drivers will resort to an anti-Catholic method to ask motorists. Indeed, some are said to slow down well below the limit to encourage others to overtake them, sometimes speeding. And there is a flash. But for this, the radar needs to roll 20 km/h less than the person who was caught speeding. But is this method proven? Are the employees deliberately pushing other motorists to blame? Not necessarily. Indeed, perhaps this is just a misinterpretation.

Indeed, it should be known that the workers who drive these radar cars do not know what vehicles they are flashing and, above all, they are not paid for verbalization. So they don’t get any commissions and so they’re just not interested in doing things like that. But at this point we don’t know if it’s workers who are overzealous or just drivers who are going too slowly…
