Fuel: the situation is still tense in Ile-de-France News from Auto Plus in your smartphone News from Auto Plus in your mailbox

After nearly a month of strikes at many TotalEnergies and Esso-ExxonMobil refineries and oil depots, things are slowly starting to improve. Indeed, the movement was very much absorbed, and most of the strikers returned to work after numerous discussions with the management of the two companies. Result, gas station are filling up again after a few very rough weeks where most of them were completely empty. So much so that motorists sometimes had to wait one or two hours to fill up their tank. But now things seem to have improved all over France.

Ile-de-France is still tense

Or almost. Because the situation has not completely normalized everywhere, and in particular in Ile-de-France. Really, Paris region is still a matter of great tension, especially in Haute-de-Seine. Many gas stations are still closed, and those that aren’t are still running out of fuel. This is especially true of unleaded gasoline, which is generally less common than diesel. It is a strike that is still ongoing in Normandy, despite the suspension of traffic in some warehouses closer to Paris. In addition, the crowds are larger in Ile-de-France, which explains the greater shortage.

.

A small improvement

However, the situation is no longer as catastrophic as before. Actually only 14.5% STO lack of at least one fuel, the number has decreased dramatically compared to previous weeks. In total, 10% of them are completely empty, a decrease of 3 points compared to the beginning of the week. There is no doubt that the situation will improve within a few days, and a return to normalcy is expected very quickly across France.
