
Produced since 2017 Ford GT the second generation is going to be abandoned, and as a farewell, the American manufacturer is releasing a new special version of its sports coupe, limited to 20 copies: Ford GT LM Edition.
As the name suggests, the Ford GT LM Edition pays homage to the Ford GT40 and GT that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966 and 2016, and continues 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine with a capacity of 660 horsepower. It is distinguished by certain new elements that make each of the 20 copies unique.

The model pays homage to Ford GT number 68, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016, exclusive Liquid Silver shadewhich contrasts with red or blue detailsaccording to the customer’s choice: we find these colored touches on the door sills, the hood at the back, the skirt at the front, the mirrors or even the curtains of the engine compartment.

Ford GT LM Edition: unique interior
Inside, the Ford GT LM Edition features carbon fiber seats covered in Alcantara, contrasting with a red or blue driver’s seat that matches the chosen exterior color. The passenger seat is Ebony Black, but has color stitching to match the driver’s seat. The instrument panel is upholstered in black leather and Ebony Alcantara, while the pillars and headliner are trimmed in Ebony Alcantara.
There are also carbon fiber inserts on the center console, air vents and pillars, with a matte finish. On the passenger side, there is a decoration characteristic of the LM Edition version: metal plate developed with the engine of the number 69 Ford GT racer from the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2016. To do this, the engine components were ground up and then reused to produce a special metal alloy, which was then used to create a decorative plaque in 3D. printing.
Ford GT LM Edition: only 20 copies
Ford GT LM Edition will be produced in limited edition of only 20 copies. The manufacturer with the blue oval has not announced the price of the model, but it can be said that it will exceed one million euros, as was the case with previous special versions of the GT.
