Hyundai has successfully passed the various official homologation stages under the WLTP standard for its new Hyundai Ioniq 6which Korean brand presents as its own Electrified Streamliner.
The new 100% electric sedan offers a the maximum range is 614 kilometers on a single charge, while its best WLTP consumption is 13.9 kW/100 km.
Hyundai Ioniq 6: optimized aerodynamics
To achieve this energy efficiency, Hyundai has invested in significant aerodynamic development and engineering. This is evidenced by the coefficient of aerodynamic resistance of the model, p Cx 0.21 : it’s becoming one of the best in the automotive industry, and it’s currently the weakest in Hyundai’s lineup.
The new Ioniq 6 is different optimized style elements, such as an active air damper, wheel air curtains, an integrated rear spoiler and wheel arch reducers, which contribute to a significant improvement in its aerodynamic performance. For the first time from Hyundai, the wheel arch reducers reduce the space between the front bumper and the tires, which optimizes the aerodynamics of the wheel arches, despite the short front overhang.

Hyundai Ioniq 6: efficient electrical architecture
In addition to the aerodynamic performance, the electric architecture of Hyundai Ioniq 6 also allows to offer great autonomy: the model is based on E-GMP modular platform group dedicated to electric cars. It is characterized by the architecture of 800 V and a the possibility of ultra-fast charging which allows you to restore 351 kilometers of autonomous operation in just 15 minutes of charging. It is also compatible with 400V charging.
With a wheelbase of 2.95 meters, the Ioniq 6 offers generous space on board, allowing it to become a true mobile office, taking advantage of the portable power source thanks to V2L reverse charging technology. This function allows you to charge electrical devices, both for professional use and during recreation in nature.
