in manufacturer BYD takes effect in Europe! Chinese company, leader in production of batteries on his continent, wants to make a big breakthrough into the market of the Old Continent.

A manufacturer that develops on electricity

The Chinese company was founded in 1995 BYD what means “Build your dreams“, or “build your dreams”, is primarily a manufacturer specializing in the development of lithium batteries.

Only later did the firm diversify into, in particular, railroads, trucks, and finally automobiles. Today, this young brand is still a major player in the battery market.

But in the meantime, BYD has also been able to diversify into electrified vehicles. Only in China, its first market, only electrified vehicles were sold in the first half of 2022.

BYD signs a major contract with rental company Sixt

We remind you that a Chinese manufacturer will be present at the exhibition Paris Motor Show 2022 which will take place at Paris Port de Versaillesfrom October 17-23.

BYD will especially present the entire range of electric models for Europe. At the same time, the well-known German rental company Sixt placed an important order with the Chinese manufacturer.

This deal, signed this week, shows that Sixt is almost booked 100,000 Chinese electric cars by 2028.

These electric cars will be available for rent in several countries. In particular, we find Great Britain, Germany, their Netherlands or even France.

In addition, a distribution agreement was signed with the Emil Frey Group to make its dealerships and aftermarket workshops available so that BYD could sell its cars without even establishing its own network.
