Sales of electric vehicles reached a new record in the first half of 2022. Automakers have never sold so many electric cars (and hybrids). Electric cars are now represented 12.2% of registrations in France. A conclusion that is also confirmed in other European countries and confirms the enthusiasm of customers for electrified engines. Electric cars, a more competitive offer
The growth in sales of electric cars can also be explained by a a significant increase in supply. An estimated 90 electric models are available on the market today, compared to 66 a year ago. Looking at the table, we can see that Tesla is firmly at the top of the ranking Model Y and Model 3. But the electric sedan of the American manufacturer is increasingly threatened by the Fiat 500e, which continues to beat sales records in France and Europe in recent months.
