
It’s the end of an era: Dodge is preparing to end production of the Charger and Challenger to refresh its lineup with new 100% electric models. As a final tribute to its iconic muscle cars, the American manufacturer released no less than seven special editions called “Last Call” (“Last Call” in English).
Dodge is gradually introducing these different models, and the final installment will be unveiled at the next SEMA Show, which will be held on the 1stEr until November 4, 2022 in Las Vegas. After the Challenger Shakedown, Charger Super Bee or Dodge Challenger and Charger Scat Pack Swinger, here is the fifth representative of this special collection: Dodge Charger King Daytona.
Dodge Charger King Daytona: In honor of Drag Racer
This new Dodge Charger King Daytona pays tribute to a famous American drag racer of the 1960s and 70s: William “Big Willy” Robinson, who named his 1969 Dodge Charger the “Daytona King” and drove it to many victories. This modern Dodge Charger King Daytona pays homage to the original with a more efficient engine and a unique orange livery:

Dodge Charger King Daytona: unique livery
The Dodge Charger King Daytona is based on the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye, whose HEMI V8 power varies from 797 to 807 horsepower, an increase of 10 additional horsepower. The model is equipped with a Go Mango orange livery. exclusive, contrasting with the black accents found, in particular, on the mirrors, the radiator grille, the optics or even the “King Daytona” sticker and the rear spoiler.
The model also received Satin Carbon Warp Speed wheels measuring 20 by 11 inches, and exterior badges are dressed in satin chrome. Brembo brake calipers are painted orange, and a power sunroof is standard.
Dodge Charger King Daytona: only 300 copies
Inside, there are specific “Daytona” seats and black leather and Alcantara upholstery. orange embroidery found on seats, instrument panel, console, steering wheel and door trim. King Daytona badging can be found on the instrument panel, while carbon fiber inserts add to the sporty vibe.
Dodge Charger King Daytona will be produced in limited edition of 300 copies, all of them have a wide body kit. Unfortunately, the Dodge Charger King Daytona will not be sold in Europe: if you want to buy it, you will have to go to an importer that specializes in American cars.
