Launched in 2012 and abandoned after two generations Subaru Crosstrek in our region it is also known as Subaru XV. On the occasion of the Detroit Auto Show, which opens its doors to the public from September 17 to 25, 2022, the Japanese manufacturer opens the curtain on third generation of its small SUV, which should now adopt the name “Crosstrek” worldwide.
The model is still based on GSP platform (Subaru Global Platform) and receives many aesthetic and mechanical improvements. Subaru says from the start that its new model will be more comfortable than the current generation XV, which has been heavily criticized for it.
Subaru Crosstrek: the style of an adventurer
In terms of exterior styling, the Subaru Crosstrek evolves without revolutionizing the genre: the model is 4.48 meters long (that is, 1.5 cm longer than the current version), 1.80 meters wide and 1.58 meters high, all with a wheelbase 2.67 meters.
Its style is recognizable thanks to the new grille with the Subaru logo, protection in the lower part of the body, as well as black plastic wheel arches or sharp optics. In terms of weight, the model is not particularly light, depending on the version, it weighs between 1540 and 1620 kg.
Subaru is launching a medium restyling of the 5th generation Forester in Europe, on this occasion a special series called X-Break. https://t.co/3xEvbSsOo5

Subaru Crosstrek: a neater interior
On board the new third generation Subaru Crosstrek is well looked after and offered the best quality materials, as well as more insulation to improve sound comfort on board. Its general interior style is not eccentric, but stands out 11.6-inch vertical touch screen located in the center of the dashboard, which controls the connected infotainment system.
In terms of technology, we find the latest version EyeSight system from Subaru, equipped with three cameras that allow you to operate adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance or recognize cyclists, motorcycles and pedestrians in combination with the function of automatic emergency braking.
Subaru Crosstrek: electrified engines
At the moment, Subaru has not provided many details about the engines that will be offered in its new model. We have to find it under the hood electrified enginesincluding a hybrid version combining a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor.
The new Subaru Crosstrek will initially be on the Japanese market in 2023, before exporting to the United States as well as other international markets. The European continent will not be forgotten, and soon the replacement of the Subaru XV should land in our region.
In Japan, as everywhere, tuning can be classified in different directions. But the owner of this Subaru decided not to choose. Everything is there, or almost. https://t.co/Xlwq85s9zO
