Does a Porsche converted into a motor home seem unlikely to you? Still, the Stuttgart-based firm didn’t want to miss out on this new growing trend in recreational vehicles. Indeed, Porsche has already stepped into this universe, offering the rental of a Porsche Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo or a 911 Carrera 4S equipped with a roof awning.

Today, adventures are available to all customers. Indeed, Porsche Tequipment, the official Porsche Genuine Accessories program, has just introduced tent on the roofwhich allows you to turn your German sports car into a “motorhome” for outdoor recreation.

Porsche Rooftop Tent: Room with a View

The Porsche tent takes the form of a hardtop roof box that was developed at Porsche’s German research center in Weissach and co-developed by Porsche’s FA studio in Zell am See, Austria. The system, which weighs approximately 56 kg, can be installed on the roof Porsche 911, Macan, Cayenne, Panamera, as well as Taycanwith or without roof rails.

The Porsche Rooftop Tent offers a real double room with a view, with two side windows and a skylight. When closed, the roof top tent measures 146cm long by 140cm wide and is just over 33cm high. Porsche Rooftop Tent: Ready for Adventure

Designed to withstand all weather conditions, the Porsche Tent has a insulating quilted lining light gray as well as waterproof zips and a separate rain cover for the entrance. Two side windows open for ventilation and are equipped with a mosquito net.
