The Casino brand has decided to extend the “fuel work” for the summer holidays, which will reduce the bill for many motorists! https://t.co/SfW74jJthE

The situation has clearly improved for motorists for some time now! Of course, we are still a long way from the €1.20 per liter shown during the first one imprisonment, in March 2020. In truth, there is very little chance of that happening again anytime soon. But after a disastrous start to the year, with prices sometimes well above the two-euro-per-liter mark, we can say that things are looking a little better now. Indeed, the price of fuel began to fall slightly a few weeks ago due to the drop in the barrel of oil. This trend was accelerated by the 30-cent discount imposed by the government, as well as the 20-cent discount offered by TotalEnergies.
Europe has agreed to phase out the use of heat engines by 2035. However, the fuel tax is an important source of revenue for the French state. https://t.co/M17WH4kOC3

Falling prices
But that’s not all, because in addition to these two small incentives, petrol and diesel prices continue to fall again and again! Admittedly, it’s still pretty high, but it’s still a lot smarter. And for good reason, according to the latest estimates of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, a liter of diesel fuel became cheaper by 2.5 euro cents last week, and the average price is now 1.75 euro. For its part, gasoline became cheaper even more, with a fall 4.9 cents for unleaded 95, 4.2 cents for unleaded 95-E10 and 4.7 cents for SP 98. Prices then show an average of 1.50 to 1.60 euros.
.
A more favorable situation
This is a drop in prices for fuel obviously very good news for motorists who have been suffering for several months from a very difficult economic situation caused, in particular, by the war in Ukraine. However, further price increases should be expected when the 30 cents discount will be reduced to 10 cents from November 1. TotalEnergies will also show the same amount. Then both discounts will finally disappear.
Because of the 30-cent discount on fuel, there are shortages at many service stations. https://t.co/SzgziQKxfm
