This is probably one of the most debated issues among motorists and in government: speed limits. And for good reason, it has always been a point of contention between supporters of strict rules and firm sanctions and those who cannot stand being restrained and forced to keep their noses to their books in order not to be forced. We remember, in particular, the outrage caused by the introduction of the 80 km/h limit, which, in particular, ignited the powder of the crisis Yellow vests. Since then the situation has improved slightly, while many departments have decided to return to 90 km/h. But another statement recently caused a stir when Prime Minister Elizabeth Bourne announced that she was not opposed to a 110km/h limit on French motorways.

towards increasing the limit?
In truth, the global trend is to reduce speed, and even the German government is considering abolishing unlimited autobahns. However, not everyone supports reducing the limits on expressways. In particular, this applies to the British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, who is currently running for the position of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom to replace Boris Johnson. Currently the favourite, she recently took part in a debate between her rival Rishi Suna. And on this occasion, she made a statement that should please her fellow citizens, because she says that she is in favor of increasing the speed limit.
Low probabilities
When asked by a conservative activist about the possibility of abolishing the speed limit, Liz Truss did not answer categorically no. On the contrary, she claimed that for top speeds we should be willing to look at it […] I cannot give an exact answer“. However, the likelihood of the UK’s motorways becoming unlimited is actually very low. And if it happens, then environmental associations will not forget to come forward to protest this measure, while they, on the contrary, are begging for a reduction in speed.
Reflections on the project to no longer deduct points from the driver’s license of drivers guilty of minor speeding continue! https://t.co/w2bQX7OYx4
