In recent months, the price of fuel has been the highest, despite a small drop recorded in recent weeks. But, unfortunately, not only gasoline and diesel fuel are increasing in price. Indeed, you also know what the price of electricity has been growing all over Europe for some time. However, not everyone is really in the same boat due to different policies. For example, England is particularly affected by this increase, and citizens are less protected than us in the event of a sharp increase. For example, in France, the cost of a MWh increased from 85 to 1,000 euros, a similar increase in other countries. And unfortunately, the situation isn’t going to improve anytime soon, although prices are expected to rise significantly over the next few months.

Sharp rise

Today, the ceiling is set at £1,971 (or approximately €2,332) per household in England. The price is set to rise to £3,549 (approx. €4,198) from October 1. A very sharp increase, around 80%, which will of course have a significant impact on British finances. Because this outbreak will affect all aspects of everyday life, and in particular the charging of electric cars. According to the RAC, a UK car services company, a 400km journey could cost the equivalent of £99, or around €140 more for Electric SUV than for the equivalent thermal model.

And in France?

So far, this should not happen in France. Indeed, our price per kWh is regulated and will remain below 15 cents until the end of the year. If prices may rise next year, the government assures that this increase will remain measured. It is difficult to predict what will happen, but there is no doubt that charging your electric car will become more difficult. Especially since reductions should be expected because of the possible lack of for this fall and winter…
