It was inevitable, but fans were hoping for a more distant ax: Bugatti would stop the W16. Therefore, this incredible engine, which caused the revival of the brand from Veyron and developed almost 500 km/h, will soon stop working. But to say goodbye to him in the best possible way, Bugatti enshrined him in the best model in the form of a celebration: Bugatti W16 Mistral.

Bugatti W16 Mistral: the fastest convertible in the world?

As the name suggests, it offers to enjoy the unique soundtrack of W16, hair in the wind. And there will be wind: here the W16 is offered in the most powerful configuration, with 1600 hp ! With a very clear goal: to become the fastest convertible in the world. Bugatti claims to have designed this model to be able to float over 420 km/h in the greatest comfort.

Around 8-liter quad turbo W16Bugatti announces that it has developed specially designed monobody for this model. Although the front ends are quite similar to the latest creations in the range, this is no ‘simple’ Divo with the roof removed. The back features an inspired new X-shaped light sign impressive car. But first of all we notice the line formed by the windshield and windows. In the purest tradition of roadsters and speedsters, it is lowered for an even more obvious impression of sportiness.

5 million euros… And there are no more available!

First of all, Bugatti announces that it has worked a lot on the acoustics of its engine. Really, intake air intakes for the engine are located immediately behind the headrests. That’s enough to get the most out of the W16 Mistral’s passengers. The latter will be able to almost feel the breath of turbo engines on their necks… Before catapulting to the horizon.

Obviously, such debauched luxury is not given. Each of 99 copies planned for the Bugatti W16 Mistral put up 5 million euros…and they are all already booked. If you’re one of those few hundred future owners, your car should be delivered to you (on the red carpet, we imagine) in 2024.
