Whether in Europe, where the sale of new diesel cars will be banned by 2035, or on the other side of the Atlantic, electric cars are about to become the norm. It is all the more surprising that in the USA large-volume gasoline engines are still relevant… But, it seems, everything will change.
Indeed, the Dodge company has just presented, after the Dodge Hornet, which is nothing more than a clone of the Alfa Romeo Tonale, a new concept car called Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept.
Dodge Charger Daytona SRT: 1000 hp electric motor
This Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept was named after the famous Dodge Charger released back in 1966.the future of muscle carswith 100% electric motorization, which the American manufacturer declares already effective.
And even if the full technical description is not yet known, we find under its hood a 100% electric motorization christened “Banshee”: according to the latest rumors, his strength would be close to 1000 horsepower ! Equipped with an 800V architecture that provides ultra-fast charging, this engine should be found in future 100% electric productions from Dodge.

Dodge Charger Daytona SRT: the genes of the oil car
In order not to disappoint fans of the brand, Dodge has developed a system called “Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust” located at the rear of the car, which reproduces the sound of a V8 Hellcat enginewith a sound power of at least 126 dB!
AND gearbox with electromechanical control under the name “eRupt” will also retain the feeling of driving a real Dodge Charger: “It drives like a Dodge, looks like a Dodge and sounds like a Dodge”is already announcing the brand… Added to this is a drive mode selectorwhich offers a choice between 4 modes: Auto, Sport, Track and Drag, allowing you to personalize your driving experience.
Dodge Charger Daytona SRT: unique style
The styling of this Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept car is inspired by the Charger of the 1960s, with muscular and refined lines at the same time, and large 21-inch wheels. Modernity is at the meeting point thanks to an expressive light signature, and aerodynamics have been optimized for increased efficiency.
Inside, the atmosphere is sporty with four bucket seats, but also technological with a 12.3-inch central screen, an 8×3-inch projection display, not to mention a panoramic glass roof.
We’ll have to wait a little longer to see a production Dodge Charger Daytona SRT in Uncle Sam’s Country, if having 100% electric motorization now removes any CO restrictions2 which was able to keep American manufacturers from the European market…
If you thought the first day was crazy, just wait until you see what else we have under the hood 😏 Stay tuned until the end #DodgeSpeedWeek for more great revelations! Follow yesterday’s announcements here: https://t.co/Kr2C6rg42h pic.twitter.com/cH6nTcEktf
