And while more and more people are choosing this mode of travel, and some have even decided to ditch the car, another type of bike is enjoying great success: electric bikes. Perfect for those who like to pedal without coming to work sweaty. The problem is, these machines are sometimes very, very expensive.

Increasing premium

Thus, for the past few years it has been possible to get a grant of €200 for the purchase of an electric bicycle. But according to the new amendment, it will be doubled from August 15! It will therefore increase to €300, but the most modest households will be able to benefit from a small increase to €400. And now this bonus, which is paid by the state, is available to everyone without fail, while receiving similar help from the local community was mandatory in order to take advantage of it.

Not just for e-bikes

But one of the great news is that this assistance will no longer be reserved for electric bikes only. Indeed, cyclists looking to buy a classic bike will also be able to take advantage of this, up to €150. Be careful as this bonus will only be reserved for the most modest of households. It should be noted that the allowance for cargo bikes, capped at €1,000, now rises to €2,000, and for folding bikes is also available up to €1,000.
