Constant growth in car prices
Overall, since marketing last summer, Peugeot 308 went up in price by 3.5%from €24,800 to €25,700. It is not the first time that Peugeot significantly raises the prices of its cars. This was evident, in particular, from the 208, for which the prices were increased by almost 16% over the yearfrom €16,000 in April 2021 to €19,240 in April 2022.
Peugeot is apparently not the only manufacturer to apply these increases. All manufacturers are increasing the prices of their cars. According to INSEE estimates, the prices of new cars increased by an average of 6.3%.. For the last 3 years it is the increase reaches even 15%. This has also been seen at Dacia, which has increased the prices of the Sandero by 8%. Significant growth is also in Tesla and Model 3, whose the price has increased by more than 6,000 euros since the beginning of the year.
An increase in prices due to the large amount of shortages faced by producers. Because the supply is less and the demand is very high, prices are rising. Among the difficulties faced by manufacturers is the shortage of semiconductors and the increase in the price of raw materials after the war in Ukraine.
An increase in prices, which can be observed for several more months.
