I always wanted to have my own child and a foster child. For some unspecified reason – weird infertility – I couldn’t make my own, but… I adopted. The whole procedure lasted 9 months. Fix as a task. 3 months to get a certificate. 3 months until we found a child. 3 months until I took him home. There are only 6 steps to adopt. I detail them below for anyone interested.
The hardest decision in the whole process was when I had to decide if I was capable of loving a child that was not biologically mine. And to make sure that my husband is also capable of it.
And yes, we decided together that we can love a foster child. I always forget that he is adopted, I still remember people.
Step 1. File submission
It’s not as difficult as it sounds, but there are certain things you need to know about adopting a child.
The classics: bulletin, birth certificate, marriage certificate, property or lease deed, register, income certificates, medical certificate from the family doctor. But also a psychiatric examination (very useful, I think), criminal record of persons with whom the applicant lives, statement of the husband, if he is not related to the application for adoption. Yes, it’s true, only you can adopt, without a husband, too, but he must agree.
And you still need to go to the notary for 2 declarations: regarding the actual residence in the territory of Romania and the one that proves that you are/are not deprived of parental rights or have/don’t have children in special care. protection system. Yes, these two are also useful, but in my opinion, these things should not be taken for granted, but checked. When I asked DGASPC I was told they don’t have an app/software to check this.
I advise you to make 3 copies of this file because you will also need it for acceptance and approval. That is, not to do as I do, but to run several times.
