After Iga Svyatek, Kateryna Alexandrova also eliminated Jessica Pegula in Miami

Kateryna Alexandrova continues her dream in Miami.

Bypassing Iga Sviatek in the 1/8 finals, the player, who is ranked 16 in the WTA hierarchy, also defeated Jessica Pegula (WTA 5), after a match that lasted exactly two hours.

Although Pegula got off to a good start and won the first set 6-3, the Russian came back in the second act to win the decider by the same scoreline, 6-4.

Thus, Aleksandrova will fight for a place in the finals with the American Danielle Collins (53 WTA), who defeated Sorana Kirstea in the 1/8 finals, and in the quarterfinals she overcame Caroline Garcia.
