Beniamin Todosiu, the USR MP for Alba, submitted an appeal to the Permanent Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies on Monday, announcing that he has left the USR parliamentary group and moved to the PSD parliamentary group, Agerpres reports.
Moreover, the deputy signaled the change in formation on Thursday, publishing a message on his Facebook in which he talks about the “New PSD Alba Project”.
“Today, together with Voicu Vuscan, we presented the New Alba PSD project to young people who really want real changes in politics. I shared my political experience and the fact that motivation is very important in politics. We all want the Romania of tomorrow, in which young people no longer leave the country, but find their future here, at home!”, the deputy’s address published on March 21 reads.
“We want to build the Alba TSD as a platform of support for the young people of Alba and we will develop special programs for the youth that will in the future produce future political leaders who will inspire the younger generations,” the MP added. .
Beniamin Todosiu was elected to the parliament on USR-PLUS lists. He is not the only elected USR to defect to the PSD in the current mandate. Senator Gheorghiță Mîndruță made a similar gesture in October 2022.
