​Carlos Alcaraz defended his title won last year in Indian Wells, the Iberian managed to lift the Masters trophy from the Californian desert in 2024. In the final, Alcaraz beat Daniil Medvedev (7-6(5), 6-1), at the end of the match, which was only tied in the first set.

Fourth-seeded Medvedev was more accurate at the start of the game, and a controlled break helped him break away to 3-0. However, the continuation was not the way the Russian wanted: Alcaraz felt the ball better, pressed more and more with a shot from the right, and the tie was restored (3-3).

From that moment on, the serve went back to back, and the tiebreaker “had to” intervene to separate them. The Iberian’s overwhelming aggressiveness made the difference in the end, and the set went back to him 7-5 in the tiebreak.
