>> Romania’s national team for friendlies with Northern Ireland and Colombia – Three players called up for the first time

Alexandru Mitrice wants to be called up by Edi Iordanescu for EURO 2024

The University of Craiova started the playoffs right and beat CFR Cluj right in Gruja.

Although the Transylvanians fought hard, Ivail Petev’s men succeeded in the most important stages and managed to take all 3 points from the confrontation with Adrian Mutu’s team.

Alexandru Mitrice had another good game for Olteni and made it three straight games with a goal in the Romanian Super League.

At the end of the dispute with CFR, Mitrice spoke about both Olten’s title chances and the option of being called up to the national team for the European Championship in the summer.

“A very important victory. I was hurt a lot in the first half. We are happy to have won three points. They had a lot of chances in the first half. I am happy that I score in every match.

We consider each match individually. The most important thing is that we got 3 points. We are thinking about the name. We have free days to prepare for the match against Rapid. If we win, we’ll be closer.

I’m still doing my job on the field. When there is an opportunity to visit the national team again, I will come with an open heart. I have to put myself out there on the field. Ultimately, my work and results will be rewarded. I believe I am doing my job as well as I can.

I have completely changed. I have a different attitude. Of course (not that I want to be at EURO 2024). Are you saying I don’t want to? I will fight for it. I hope we will have as many players as possible at the EURO.” – he said, reports Digi Sport.
