Iordenescu called up 29 players for the matches on March 22 and 26.

Goalkeeper Marian Ioani (Rapid), defender Bohdan Rakovican (Rakiv) and midfielder Adrian Shute (FCSB) received their first call-up to the national team.

“This month’s national team matches are the first and only real test we have in preparation for EURO 2024. Friendly matches scheduled in the summer, immediately before the final tournament, will take place in a different context, with different goals.

For a more accurate idea of ​​the resources we can count on at EURO, we decided to invite a larger number of players to this promotion. But, I want to emphasize, footballers who are not currently on this list do not mean that they will not automatically get into the squad for the European Championship! Just as those present now, because of this convocation, do not have guarantees of participation in EURO 2024!

There are two filters, after which I will determine the team with which Romania will qualify for the final tournament in Germany. The first shows how the called-up players will react in training these days and the two matches against Northern Ireland and Colombia, while the second presents the evolution of each tracked player at the clubs from the end of March until the national team reunions leading up to EURO 2024.
