“In fact, it was stated that during 2023, an organized criminal group was created in the municipality of Bucharest, joined by several individuals, with the aim of introducing and using pyrotechnic materials in football stadiums, during matches, disturbing public order and peace through violence against property and destruction of the playing surface through the use of pyrotechnic materials, causing deterioration of the condition of the lawn due to the explosion of pyrotechnic materials, threats to the physical integrity of other people (players, stewards, football players, firefighters, journalists, etc.),” ​​the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

Rapid FC president Daniel Nikulae was abducted by masked men on Thursday morning, Giulești majority shareholder Dan Shucu announced, and according to some judicial sources, Nikulae has suspect status.

In addition, several searches took place on Thursday in Bucharest, Prahov, Ilfov against members of the Rapid team gallery, court sources quoted by News.ro said.
