The Rabla 2024 program will start on March 19, AFM president Laurenciu Neculaescu announced on Monday at a press conference in Tirgovishte, as quoted by Agerpres. The biggest change is that the amount of the eco-ticket for the purchase of purely electric cars has been halved.
At Rabla classic, the recycling premium is 7,000 lei.
The amount of the eco-ticket for the purchase of a new purely electric vehicle will be reduced to 25,500 lei, regardless of the number of used vehicles scrapped in the Rabla Plus program. Handing in an old car for scrap metal is mandatory.
In 2023, the amount of this eco-ticket was 51,000 lei for the return of one used vehicle and 54,000 lei for the return of two used vehicles.
For cars with an internal combustion engine, the Rabla program offers a ticket worth 7,000 lei for the return of an old car, and the amount increases to 10,000 lei for the return of two used cars.
The budget of the Environment Fund Office (AFM) for 2024 will be 9.3 billion lei, of which one billion lei will go to the Rabla Plus Program.
The maximum values that Rabla Plus customers can access are:
Hybrids: €3,200 / 16,000 lei
Purely electric: 5,100 euros / 25,500 lei
Plug-in hybrids: 2,600 euros / 13,000 lei
