The International Legion of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense in Kyiv on Thursday, on the anniversary of the creation of the unit, appealed to volunteers to join the fight against the Russian occupiers. reported by Ukrainian Pravda, quoted by Rador Radio Romania.
According to GUR, the legion united volunteers from more than 50 countries of the world, who after the large-scale Russian invasion came to the aid of Ukrainians and began to fight against Russian troops.
The GUR unit includes experienced fighters, veterans of special operations forces and other military units of the USA, Great Britain, Australia, Denmark and other countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.
The Military Intelligence of Ukraine reminds that the fighters of the International Legion of the GUR took part in hostilities in all hot zones, “fighting against the occupiers and continuing a brave fight, defending Ukraine.”
Fighters of the International Legion took part in the defense of Kyiv and in battles in the Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhia and Donetsk regions.
“Congratulations to our brothers on the anniversary (year of creation of the legion, not available). We are strengthening our fighting brotherhood and continuing the fight for the victory of good over evil,” the message reads.
