Stan Wawrinka lost to Tomas Machak in the first round at Indian Wells

Stan Wawrinka was eliminated in the opening round of the tournament in Indian Wells.

With three Grand Slam titles under his belt, the ATP No. 70 was defeated in three sets by Tomas Mahak (ATP No. 63) after a match that lasted two hours and six minutes.

In the next round, the athlete from the Czech Republic will meet with Adrian Mannarino (21 ATP).

The BNP Paribas Open is an ATP 1000 tournament that takes place from March 6 to 17. The game is played on a hard surface and the total prize pool is $8,995,555. The titular champion is Carlos Alcaraz.
