The University of Craiova won its second consecutive victory with a score of 3:2 at the “Petrolului Ploiesti” field in the XXVIII round of the Super League. Oltensi are anchored on the fourth step of the rating.

“Petrólul Ploiesti” after the home defeat against “University of Craiova” has fewer and fewer chances to enter the playoffs.

Jovan Marković opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with a header from Mitrice’s cross.

Eight minutes later it was 0-2, Stefan Bayaram finishing after a big hole in the Prahoven defence.

Just before the break, Maryan Hudzha reduced the difference after a corner kick.

Ploiešteni started the second half brilliantly and Giku Grozav restored the tie in the 47th minute with a shot from 18 metres.

In the 59th minute, Stefan Bayaram scored a double after Mitrice’s cross.

Olteni received a penalty in the 81st minute, after a controversial phase, but Andrii Ivan shot weakly and missed from 11 meters.

The Ivaylo Petev-coached side were outnumbered in extra time and Basil Ndong saw red for an elbow.

After this victory, the University of Craiova gains 45 points and secures itself in the fourth position in the ranking before Monday’s duel with Rapid.
