
French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Tuesday evening that he had signed an agreement with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, on Qatar’s commitment to invest ten billion euros in the French economy by 2030, AFP reports.
“We have signed an ambitious investment plan worth ten billion euros,” the French president announced during a toast at the opening of a dinner he offered in honor of the emir, who is on a state visit to France.
These investments are to be made in the energy transition, semiconductor, aerospace, artificial intelligence (AI), digital technologies, healthcare, industry and culture, News.ro cites.
