The two leaders of the PSD-PNL coalition were asked on Wednesday evening whether the government was using public money to curry favor with the media.

When asked if it is time to tell the public which sites the 250 million lei goes to, Marcel Čolaku said that this is something normal in the political world all over the world and that he does not deal with this aspect.

“Did you think that a colleague was being bought? (…) I think that all the questions asked tonight were intended to put us in difficulties. Across Europe and the democratic world it is used for public party policy. (..) I don’t mark up, I don’t make sites. (…) There are several agencies that deal with this,” said Cholaku.

And the liberal Nicolae Chuke avoided a clear answer, saying that he does not deal with this aspect:

“I told you that at the PNL level I don’t deal with that aspect. I can tell you that the amounts are public, checked by the competent authorities.”
