
Starting this year, Emanuel Derta is the new director of the Dacia Design Center studio in Bucharest, the company announced. Derta worked on such projects as the Fiat 500, Porsche 911 Speedster Concept or three models of the Chinese company Xpeng.
Emanuele Derta is a graduate of the IED (Instituto Europeo di Deisgn) in Turin and holds a diploma in automotive design, obtained in 2005.
He has 23 years of experience in automotive and industrial design. Over time, Emanuel Derta worked for such brands as Fiat, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Porsche and Lynk&Co.
In 2018, he became the design director of the Ora and Wey brands (part of the Great Wall Motors group), and in 2021 he was appointed the vice president of design of Xpeng Motors.
Projects he has worked on include the Fiat 500, Fiat Fiorino, Porsche 911 Speedster Concept, Porsche 991.2 GT3, Ora Good Cat, Tank 300, Tank 400, Xpeng G9, Xpeng G6 and Xpeng X9.
