PSD MEP Tudor Chuhodaru will announce his registration in the AUR in the next period, political sources told News.ro. In fact, Tudor Cuhodaru was present on Wednesday in Bucharest at one of the actions of the AUR, he was standing next to the leader of the AUR, George Simion.

Sources in Iesi’s political circle said that Tudor Chukhodaru’s transition to AUR is inevitable, but it is unclear whether he would be promised a seat in the European Parliament on AUR lists.

Tudor Choukhodaru recently lost the support of the Iasi branch of the PSD for a new candidacy on the list for the European Parliament.

The PSD of Iasi nominated Dr. Lucian Eve, head of the Iasi Neurosurgical Hospital, as a candidate, but the order of the lists was later decided by the party’s central leadership.

Leaders of the PSD of Iasi clarified that Tudor Chukhodaru would not have shown his anger at the meeting where the relevant decision was made. Ciuhodaru works with Lucian Eva at the neurosurgical hospital in Iasi.

Tudor Chuhodaru was elected as an MP on the PSD lists in 2008, and in 2012 he was re-elected as an MP on the NPDD lists. Later, he joined the UNR, after which he returned to the PSD. In 2019, he ran on PSD lists in the elections to the European Parliament.

Also on Wednesday, MP from Yassiv Marius Ostafikiuk announced his departure from PSD, most likely to join AUR.

Maryus Ostafichuk wrote on Facebook that he decided to leave the PSD after 23 years of active activity in this party, being dissatisfied with the direction in which the formation is moving.

He admitted that he is negotiating with AUR about joining this party.
