Price drop

Refueling isn’t exactly fun, that’s for sure. Especially now, when it is very cold and prices are very high. A trend that has been going on for several months now and looks set to continue. However, it is possible that prices at gas stations will fall, which should please motorists. At least I think so Francis Puss, president of the fuel and new energy distributor branch of the Mobilian trade union. The latter spoke to BFM TV on the subject and was quite positive: “We are entering a bearish period again. For next week I’m sure […] Over the past 2-3 days, we have already observed a partial decrease in the price of diesel.” Enough to calm the drivers, at the moment hit the throat very high prices which greatly complicates their daily life.

Cheaper oil

According to the expert, the economic situation in China plays its role in this drop in prices. Indeed, “the barrel of oil is starting to fall because the economic performance of China, the world’s largest oil consumer, is falling. That’s why we see a drop in prices.” And this is undoubtedly thanks to the rise of the electric car, which is developing there at a very fast pace. However, this downward trend coincides with various interests OPEC member countries (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries). Although the latter wish to maintain high prices, the international oil market remains under the influence of a complex of factors. Francis Puss explains that “barrel prices are set internationally, not by consumer nations or oil companies. Oil prices are set by the market.” So motorists have no voice…
