USR President Catalin Drula said on Monday that Bucharest’s PNL president Sebastián Bourduya is “on fire with the PSD”, wondering if he intends to help the social democratic candidate win the capital city hall, according to Agerpres.

On the B1Tv station, the leader of the USR was asked if there is a chance to get the support of the PNL in favor of the new mandate of the mayor of the capital, Nikushor Dan.

  • “Mr. Bourduya supports the PSD, to put it more clearly. Until recently, he headed the Sector 1 branch, where now, like any party with “liberal” in the name, they let an SRI officer run the branch, Mr. Tuţă, and there she was in the company of him at the buckle with Mr. Florin Manole, the chairman (PSD n.ed.) from Sector 1 and they did everything they could to confuse and prevent Clotilde Armand from running with this support. Now I don’t know what he wants… to help Gabriela Firea or who will be the candidate of PSD?!”, replied Katalin Drula.

He recalled that in 2020 the PNL supported Nikušor Dan for the capital city hall, arguing to the citizens of Bucharest that the PSD “is the ultimate evil that destroyed” this city.

Together with USR, we closed a number of these municipal companies through which money was siphoned off for Gabriela Firea’s party clientele. I have done good things for this city, there is more work to do. I’m from Bucharest, I was born here and I want us to do a lot more. The PNL betrayed “Will he come to his senses, you ask me? The leader of PNL Bucharest, Minister Sebastián Burduya, has announced that he is running for the capital’s mayor’s office, saying that it is part of his job description after leading the organization of PNL Bucharest.

In recent weeks, the leader of the PNL Bucharest, Minister Sebastián Burduya, criticized Nikusor Dan, saying that he was a bad deal for the PNL and did not show the support of the formation, in the context of which, in the last elections, Dan ran as an independent with the support of the PNL and the USR.

“I also publicly said to Mr. Nikuzor Dan, do you want to defeat Firea? You have to beat me first. Let’s hold primaries on the right side, I have no problem,” Burduja said last week.
