According to AFP, a White House spokesman on Monday described as “irresponsible” and “dangerous” the call for the restoration of Israeli settlements in the Gaza Strip, which was made at a recent rally in Jerusalem attended by ministers from the government of Benjamin Netanyahu.
“We have made it very clear that there can be no reduction in territory in Gaza,” John Kirby, a spokesman for the US National Security Council, added at a news conference.

The conflict on the border with Libya will intensify
Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said on Monday, quoted by AFP, that the Israeli army will “very soon begin to operate” in the north of the country, on the border with Lebanon, where there are daily firefights with Hezbollah.
The minister told soldiers stationed near the border with Gaza or parts of the Palestinian territory that they would leave the area for the north of the country.
“Soon they will begin to operate (…), so the forces in the north are reinforced,” said Yoav Gallant, adding that reservists will also leave their positions to prepare for these upcoming operations.
Chief of the General Staff Hertzi Halevi recently estimated that the probability of war “in the coming months” in the north of the country is now “much higher than in the past.”
Since the October 7 attacks on Israeli territory by the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, which triggered the war in Gaza, there has been a constant exchange of fire between the Israeli military and Hezbollah, the Lebanese movement allied with Iran and Hamas.
