USR leader Katelin Drula said on Sunday regarding the incident at the party’s leadership meeting where MEP Vlad Gheorghe was not allowed to enter the room, that he had not paid his dues and was legally expelled from USR. He also commented on the criticism of Mayor Elena Lasconi during the event, showing that she took certain positions, like other colleagues, and how it is normal in a democracy, but the vote at the end was overwhelmingly in favor of the project of the United Right, according to the News. ro.

“I thought you wanted to ask me about the future, about what the United Right is doing next. I think it’s from the tabloids and I’d rather… You’ve already heard back from the press secretary. Do you want me to give you another present, help you with something, inform the press? Mr. Vlad Gheorghe failed to pay his dues and was legally suspended from the UDR. He also referred to the statements of Mayor Olena Lasconi during the meeting of the UDR.

In the party at the end, we had an overwhelming vote of more than 90%, if I am not mistaken, even 95% in favor of this project,” Drula added.

“I think there are serious problems in Romania, we have problems with an economy that has slowed down, with inflation, with a brutal leadership that imposes taxes, these are things for which I feel I have this mandate, not for a while. provided,” he also said.

USR MEP Vlad Gheorghe alleged on Sunday that he was not allowed to attend a meeting of the party’s political committee because he was stopped at the entrance by security guards on the grounds that he was not an “active member”.
