
In France, Suzuki recorded an exceptional result in 2023, increasing registrations by 48%, three times better than the French passenger car market (16%). More than 60% (more precisely, 61.5%) of sales were made to individuals, but the Japanese firm still notes an increase in sales to enterprises.
Suzuki: significant sales growth
In details, the Japanese brand has released to the market in general 21,866 private vehicles in 2023, representing 1.23% of the market. Suzuki’s results last year are higher than Suzuki France’s average market share in previous years, which is 1.19% for the period from 2016 to 2022.
As for SUVs, with an overall market growth of 9% in 2023, Suzuki in France also recorded a strong growth of 54%, selling a total of 3,012 vehicles: the vast majority of which includes Suzuki Jimnys in the VUL version, but Suzuki aims to develop VP sales professionals

In 2023, Suzuki ranked 5th among manufacturers in the French plug-in hybrid market with 21,064 registrations, or a market share of 5.60%.
The best-selling models of 2023
It became the most popular model of the Japanese manufacturer in France in 2023 Suzuki Swiftwith 9,811 units are registered (an increase of +51% compared to 2022). The star city car Suzuki follows Vitarawith 4,406 models registered (+43%) as well asIgniswith 3,993 registrations (+44%).
French customers also highly rated S-crosswith 2427 registered examples (+52% more compared to 2022) andAcrosswith 801 models registered (+87%), not forgetting about Swacewith 427 registrations (+11%).
In 2024, the bestseller in the Suzuki range will be completely updated the new generation of Swift, equipped with a more modern design, numerous advanced safety technologies, as well as a new, more efficient 12V hybrid engine. The Japanese city car, which sold almost 10,000 copies in France last year, should feel a new push in its career.
