Sabalenko, the 2nd favorite at the beginning of the competition, beat the Czech Barbora Krejcikova (11 WTA, 9th seed) without emotion, the score was 6-2, 6-3.
Krejcikova (champion of Roland Garros 2021 and multiple winner of the Grand Slam tournaments in doubles and mixed ranks) in this match won only 6 winners (Sabalenka – 20) and made 24 unforced errors (13 – Arine).
