The Spaniard needed an hour and 50 minutes to defeat the Serb, who is ranked 60th in the ATP rankings, 6-4, 6-4, 6-0.
Alcaraz made five breaks, did not lose serve and won three times more winners (43-19).
Carlos is now 2-0 in head-to-head matches with Miomir after he also defeated him in the quarterfinals of the 2022 Miami Masters.
The Pyrenean will fight for a place in the semi-finals against Oleksandr Zverev (6). They have met seven times and the German leads 4-3.
