The Tricolors return to the final tournament after an eight-year hiatus in a group with Belgium, Slovakia and the winner of the play-off between Israel, Bosnia, Ukraine and Iceland.

Rezvan Burleanu said during the holidays that this qualification is only the first step and the final tournament is a new stage where the most important generation of the last 20 years will be created.

“Our players made Romanians proud. Qualifying for EURO 2024 is the result we all wanted, marking our return to our first finals tournament in 8 years.

The result not only confirms but also celebrates the FRF strategy. This performance would not have been possible without the trust given to Edi Iordenescu and the efforts of his team.

This qualification is the result of a clearly defined strategy at the level of Romanian football and its very successful implementation. We want Euro 2024 to mark a new stage in the development of the most important generation in the last 20 years.

The intermediate goal is to get out of the group and we are preparing to make that dream come true. Celebrate 2024 with confidence in our common future. We will work and hope that the next year will bring us new achievements, victories and accomplishments” – said Rezvan Burleanufor DigiSport.
