The man who opened fire, killing and wounding dozens of people in Prague, was a 24-year-old student at Karolinska University who lived 21 kilometers from the Czech capital. According to the police, the attacker’s father was also found dead.

Police Chief Martin Vondraszek said at a press conference that more than 15 people were killed and 24 injured, but that may not be the final numbers. The perpetrator of the attack was inspired by similar armed attacks abroad, the police chief also noted.

According to the Czech police, there are no signs of a terrorist attack.

According to the police chief, the “lifeless body” of an armed man was found at the university.
