The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) will receive a new organizational chart no later than Friday, announced George Niculescu, the institution’s president. Of ANRE’s 42 executives, only 28 will remain in their positions, Niculescu said. According to him, general managers, directors and heads of services are under the crosshairs.

What the law provides

The reduction in the number of heads of public institutions is provided for by Law 296/2023 on some fiscal and budgetary measures to ensure the long-term financial stability of Romania.
