
The government on Thursday decided to allocate funds for the families affected by the recent tragedy in Odorhei-Secuiesk, as follows: for the two injured and hospitalized girls, 8,000 lei each, for the girl who is in a worse condition, in a coma, 10,000 lei, and also 10,000 lei for the family of the dead young man, said Mihai Kostyantyn, the government spokesman.
- “There is little that the government can do in an emergency after this tragedy, and we also express our condolences and sympathies to those affected by this event,” Mihai Konstantin said at the end of the government meeting.
We would like to remind you that part of the boarding school building of Tamasi Aron Secondary School in Odorhei Sekuysk, Harghita District, collapsed on Monday afternoon, four students were trapped under the rubble. Three hours later, a dead 18-year-old student was pulled out from under the rubble, three students were injured, one of them is in serious condition.
The Tamasi Aron Theoretical High School in Odorhei-Secuiesc, a former Roman Catholic high school, was built between 1909 and 1910. The building, located near the Roman Catholic Church of St. Nicholas in Odorhei-Secuiesk, is a historical monument. The boarding school was also built in 1910. The building belongs to the Roman Catholic archdiocese.
