For some time, the price of fuel has been particularly high for many reasons, such as conflicts around the world or falling oil production. And if at the end of the year the prices fall a little, then they remain still very high. And, unfortunately, it did not end, much to the chagrin of motorists, who are the first to drink and suffer from the situation. Because the latter plunges some people into great difficulties, sometimes even prompts them to commit acts that are punishable by law, such as stealing fuel.
Europe has agreed to end the heat engine by 2035. However, the fuel tax is an important source of revenue for the French state. https://t.co/M17WH4kOC3

A little investigation
And this is exactly the case of our champion of the day, who is now facing justice. The story goes back to last year, but was only revealed now. In August 2022, the town hall of Mondeville, a small town located in Calvados, realizes that one of its fuel cards is being misused, even after hours. After a short investigation, suspicion falls on Nelson, who allegedly communicates with questionable people. The police got involved in the case and discovered that the latter had accomplices and was expecting losses of 11,000 euros.
Great difficulties
Then the four culprits are arrested, and Nelson justifies his actions serious financial difficulties which would even prevent him from feeding his children. He then decides to repay his friends by giving them access to the fuel card, which was then kept in his possession. The culprit was finally sentenced to 6 months in prison, and the accomplices have 40 months to make restitution. Therefore, they will have to pay at least €7,896.86 to all four.
